amis au fil des ans

just a few good friends, sharing adventures in family, arts, and sometimes heavy machinery

well, that didn’t last long.  no sooner do i get all my new fabric washed, cut and pinned, start moving right along with the sewing machine and BAM!  turns out i got a little too excited, ran through some thick fabric and bent my needle.  this is an incredibly frustrating move since i’m sure i don’t have any other needles (or i don’t know where i put them), and of course the sewing machine store is closed for the day.   ahh well, it was fun while it lasted.  guess that means its time to go for a run.

oh dear… this reminds me of something i read in my one-yard wonders book: replace your needle with every project. um…i think i am operating with needle number 2 in 3 years. eeeks. i do think my machine came with needles though in the little pouch that holds all the extra feet. check there? side note…go you for running! way to turn something unproductive into something productive!
